Random Sets, LLC is a new independent consultancy established by Ronald Mahler, the founder of the random set (RS) approach to information fusion. The RS approach has had a revolutionary impact on the information fusion field, inspiring a considerable amount of innovative research in at least 18 nations. This research includes a number of novel algorithms that have been shown to significantly outperform conventional methods. Random Sets, LLC will address the needs of those seeking expertise in the new RS algorithms, as well as of those interested in RS and other cutting-edge solutions to new information fusion challenges.

About the President

Ronald Mahler is the recipient of the 2005 IEEE AESS Mimno Award, the 2007 Mignogna Data Fusion Award, and the 2007 IEEE AESS Carlton Award. He has been listed since 2010 in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World. His papers, Multitarget tracking via first-order multitarget moments and PHD filters of higher order in target number are, respectively, the 1^st– and 4^th-most cited papers published over the last decade in IEEE Trans. Aerospace & Electronic Systems. His most recent books are Statistical Multisource-Multitarget Information Fusion (Artech, 2007) and Advances in Statistical Multisource-Multitarget Information Fusion (Artech, 2014).
